

Beloved daughter, mother, wife and sister, Carolyn Price Montgomery returned to her Heavenly Father January 14, 2026. She was born in Salt Lake City on April 14, 1965, to Melvin Porter Price and Elaine Baggaley Price.
Carolyn was a delight. She lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and cheerful optimism. Her sense of humor and contagious laughter earned her many devoted, long-lasting relationships with friends and family. She could light up any room with her smile, and her mischievous jokes and hilarious stories often left everyone in stitches. These characteristics shone through difficulties, challenges and illnesses and comforted those close to her. Her example was an inspiration to all that knew her and she will be greatly missed.
A graduate of Highland High School’s Class of 1983, Carolyn earned her associate degree in nursing from Weber State College on June 13, 1986. During her nursing program, she served as a class officer in the position of treasurer. She continued her education at the University of Utah College of Nursing, earning her B.S.R.N. on June 10, 1988. Carolyn’s kindness and dedication to her profession blessed many patients throughout her career.
On August 21, 1987, Carolyn married in the Salt Lake City Temple, beginning a chapter of her life that brought her two beautiful children, Madison and Joshua who became her greatest joy.
She is survived by her children, Joshua Michael Montgomery, and Madison Montgomery Guzman (Esdras), and by her cherished grandchildren—Kimberly, Jaxon, and Levi. She is also survived by her sister, Melanie Price Gordon (Steven) and her devoted friend Tamara Mackenzie.
She is preceded in death by her parents Elane B. Price and Melvin P. Price.
Carolyn’s legacy is one of dedication, care, fun, and unwavering kindness. Her influence endures in the lives she touched, the family she loved, and the example she set through her joyful spirit and devotion to those around her.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Granger West 3rd Ward Building located at 3901 West 2925 South, West Valley City, UT 84120. A viewing will be held that day from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
