

Charles was born on February 11, 1931 to William Landon and Eva May McClurd Ogle in Pensacola, North Carolina, he was the seventh of eight children.
Charles joined the United States Marines when he was 17 years old and served courageously on the front lines with the 7th marines, 1st Division during the Korean War. He was deeply patriotic and cherished the freedom that the United States stands for.
After his military service, he moved to Springfield, Oregon, to live with his sister Agnes. There, he pursued a degree in Architecture at the University of Oregon. He also met his future wife, Donna Hansen, on a blind date. They married on July 2, 1954, and a few years later Charles converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Los Angeles Temple. Last summer, they hosted a joyful family reunion celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Charles and Donna raised eight children in Eugene, Oregon. He was a patient father, who always set a good example for his children. While living in Eugene he designed and built custom homes for over 30 years. Charles loved seeing his designs brought to life and helping his clients realize their dream of owning a custom home tailor made for them. He was also a successful real estate broker and operated his own sales office. In 1990, Charles, Donna, and their youngest daughter Teresa relocated to Seattle, where he continued to create beautiful custom homes. Charles and Donna retired in 2011 and moved to Sandy, Utah.
Beyond his professional life, Charles found joy in reading and writing. He also loved gardening, and flying airplanes. Known for his sense of humor and his easy-going and generous nature, Charles touched the lives of many.
He is preceded in death by his parents and all seven of his siblings: brothers William, Earl, Ralph, and Robert, and sisters Irene, Agnes, and Effie. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Thomas Kendall Ogle.
Charles is survived by his wife Donna Vadious Hansen Ogle and his children:
Jeff (Mary Jane) of Castle Rock, Colorado, Brad (Julie) of Eugene, Oregon, Ken Ogle of Elizabeth Colorado, Tami (David) Crabtree of Sandy, Utah, Sandra Pierce of Sandy, Utah, Monte (Kathi) Ogle of Snohomish, Washington, Diana Sherman of Colleyville, Texas and Teresa (Jason) Stanley of Colleyville, Texas. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 36 great grand children.
Funeral services will be held at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah on Monday June 2nd 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Interment to follow with Military Honors. For those unable to attend, please join us through a live stream.
