She was born April 14, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frieda Faye Wallace Hoggan and Floyd Call Hoggan. She attended West High School where she was active in the girls ROTC program. She married her best friend and love of her life, William (Bill) F. Qualls on October 9, 1964. They would have celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary in October. She was an active member of her community doing public relations survey work and serving for eight years on the PTA, as a volunteer, secretary, vice president and president. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had an incredible love for the Gospel and the Savior. She served in various callings, her favorite being with the Young Women’s organization. She also worked at Associated Federal Employee’s Federal Credit Union for over 25 years.
She loved spending time in the mountains with family, camping and riding four wheelers. She enjoyed the time she and Bill spent riding their side-side in Marysville. She and Bill spent many winters in Pahrump, Nevada where she learned to love the art of stained glass. Second only to her family, Claudia had a tremendous love for gardening which was exemplified in thoughtfully planted flowers each year. Claudia’s greatest love was her family, and she actively supported each member as long as she was physically able. She was truly an angel on earth, and she touched the lives and hearts of all who met her.
She is survived by her husband, William Qualls, Jr.; son Brian (Marcee); John (Kristy); grandson Tyler (Chelsea); grandson Travis (Val); granddaughter Kacie (Wolf); granddaughter Meagan (Jared); grandson Connor; granddaughter Makaylee; grandson Jacob; three great granddaughters; sister Cathryn; brother David (Cherie); and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son Jeffrey William Qualls; parents Frieda Faye Wallace Hoggan and Floyd Call Hoggan; Grandmother Rosetta M Wallace.
