David Michael Hojnik

Dave married Jolee Ann Barney on May 18, 1979. Together, they built a family that meant everything to him.

Most importantly, Dave loved his family. He loved providing for them, being with them, and giving them everything he could. He loved his wife and daughters deeply, and he loved being a grandpa. He also loved his sons-in-law and appreciated the care they gave their families.

Dave enjoyed fishing with his grandson, watching and playing football, and spending time on the basketball court, where he was remembered as a dominant presence. He had a big personality, a playful competitive spirit, and a memorable sense of humor. He loved to roll the dice, would bet on just about anything, and could beat anyone at pitching quarters.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Aubree (Ed) Conner and Morgan (Stuart) Mills; his grandchildren, David Edward Conner “Buddy,” Robert Mills, and Kendra Mills; and his siblings, Lisa (Billy) Hancox.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jolee Ann Hojnik; his father, John William Hojnik; his mother, Donna Hojnik; and his granddaughter, Cadee Celeste Conner.

A graveside service will be held on July 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Herriman City Cemetery, 12465 S. Pioneer Street, Herriman, Utah 84096. No viewing will be held.
