Born on November 22, 1935, in Tempe, Arizona, Dianne was the fourth of seven children to Francis Lynn Johnson Sr. and Lucille Martin. Her father, a skilled carpenter, built the family home where Dianne spent her early years. She attended Lincoln High School in Orem. During this time she met her first husband, Gordon Randall. The two were married in June 1953 and soon began a life of adventure as Gordon served in the U.S. Air Force.
Dianne embraced the life of a military spouse with grace and curiosity, living in various parts of the United States and Europe. Her first child, Michael, was born in New York, followed by Martin in Mississippi, Myron in Ft Worth Texas, Monica in Charleston, South Carolina, and Melissa in Germany while stationed abroad.
After Gordon’s retirement from the Air Force, the family settled near Tinker Air Force Base. Dianne remained there for many years before moving to Virginia in 2019 to live with her daughter Melissa, and later in 2022 to Lehi, Utah, with her daughter Monica where she spent her final years.
Dianne was preceded in death by her beloved son Michael and her husbands, Gordon Randall and Frank Kennedy, as well as her sisters Elaine and Marna. She is survived by her children Martin, Myron, Monica, and Melissa; her brothers Francis Lynn Johnson Jr. and Lauren Wayne Johnson; and a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward with love and admiration.
Dianne lived a life full of strength, resilience, and quiet devotion to her family. Her warm heart, adventurous spirit, and unwavering support will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at the Latter-day Saints Stake Center, 890 W 3070 N Lehi, UT. The viewing will start at 9:30 am with the funeral following at 10:30 am.
