Gregory H. Gittins, age 63, of West Jordan, Utah stepped through the veil on December 18, 2022. Greg was born to Olive and Howard Gittins on August 26, 1959, in Brigham City, Utah. He served a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lima, Peru. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Zoology from Brigham Young University. Greg and Genice were married May 10, 1985, in the Logan, Utah temple.
Greg exemplified the Savior’s life in the way he treated and loved those around him. Fondly known as a walking encyclopedia by those that knew him best, his vast knowledge was a joy to tap into. Whether it was because someone needed help with a school paper, a resume, a work email, or if you just needed to know if you get better gas mileage at Costco because of the added detergents, Greg always had the answer (sometimes with longwinded details.) More than a veritable genius, Greg was an extraordinary stand-in therapist. He knew just what to say and when to say it or even when he just needed to listen.
Greg’s memory lives on through his eternal companion; Genice, his exceptional three children; Nathan (Shannon), Jamie, Matt (Kiera), and his granddaughter Orielle.
