Janice was a strong and steady force in the lives of everyone who knew her. Fiercely independent, she raised her three children—Rod, Bret, and Teresa—on her own after the passing of her husband, Dell. Through her strength, determination, and unwavering love, she raised strong and capable children who carry her spirit forward every day. She enjoyed careers as a caterer and night club manager but spent much of her life working in clothing retail before retiring to lovingly care for her own mother and father, a reflection of the compassion and devotion that defined her life. Family was always at the center of her world. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children, grandchildren—Wade, Samantha, Robert, Bryan, Russell and Richard; her 14 great-grand babies—and the many loved ones who surrounded her.
Janice loved the beauty of the outdoors and found peace in the mountains. She cherished camping trips, canyon drives, picnics, gardening, and the simple happiness of being surrounded by nature and family. She also had a deep love for animals and quietly supported local animal organizations throughout her life.
Those who knew Janice will remember her kind heart, her strength of character, and the way she greeted everyone with a warm smile and a welcoming hug. She loved fiercely, helped whenever she could, and lived with both independence and resilience. She was loving, strong, and never put up with nonsense—qualities that earned both respect and admiration from all who knew her.
Everything we are today was shaped by her love, strength, and example. She taught us how to stand strong through difficult times, how to care for others, and how to love our family with our whole hearts. The lessons she taught and the love she gave will stay with us always and continue to guide our family for generations to come.
We are all better because she was part of our lives. She loved us to the moon and back, and we will forever carry that love in our hearts. Though she will be deeply missed, she will remain forever loved, forever remembered, and forever a part of us.
