Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt ,and friend, Jenna Lanae Collier Jacobson, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, following a short battle with cancer, surrounded by her family who adored her beyond measure.
Born on December 3, 1972, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Thomas and Jan Collier, Jenna was the oldest of seven children and a natural nurturer from the start. She grew up in South Jordan, Utah, where she developed her lifelong love for family, faith, and home. She graduated from Bingham High School and attended Salt Lake Community College, later working as a medical assistant, a role that reflected her caring and gentle nature.
Jenna met the love of her life, Daniel Jacobson, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Institute of Religion, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, faith, and devotion. They raised five children who were the joy of her life: Deanna (Brandon) Erickson, Grant (Jensyn) Jacobson, Janell (Weston) Bruening, Lance Jacobson, and Laura Jacobson. Her role as “Grandma” to James and Ella Bruening and Tommy Erickson brought her endless delight and pride.
Jenna’s greatest joy came from caring for others. She made every home she entered feel warm and safe. Her love for home décor, cooking, and making holidays magical reflected her belief that beauty and joy should be shared. She loved thrifting, shopping, and traveling, cherishing memories from trips to Hawaii and the Oregon Coast.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jenna served faithfully in many callings and was a steady support to Dan through his many years of church leadership. Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds; she gave of herself freely, sharing her time, talents, and love with family, friends, neighbors, and those in need.
Jenna’s contagious laugh, radiant spirit, and boundless love made her a light to everyone around her. She was often called Wonder Woman by those who knew her best, strong, selfless, and devoted beyond measure.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Jacobson; her children and their spouses; her grandchildren; her parents, Thomas and Jan Collier; and her six siblings and their families.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at noon at the West Jordan Sycamores Stake Center (7580 Abbotsbury Lane, West Jordan, Utah 84081). A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the same location. An additional evening viewing will take place on Thursday, October 30, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., also at the West Jordan Sycamores Stake Center. Interment will follow at the South Jordan City Cemetery.
Jenna’s life was one of love, laughter, and faith, a beautiful example of how one person’s light can bless countless lives. She will be missed deeply but remembered forever.
