John Robert Jones

He was born on December 12, 1954 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to John B. Jones and Karen Robertson Jones. He graduated from Kearns High School and attended Snow College.

He spent many hours working on merit badges and earned his Eagle Scout Award. He also had the opportunity to attend a National Scouting Jamboree where he met scouts from all over the world.

He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing during the summer months with his grandpa, with whom he rode horses and helped herd sheep.

Among other sports, he enjoyed camping, water skiing, snow skiing and golf.

He is survived by his mother Karen Jones, sister Carol Dee, brother Scott, and sister Sue Ann (Chris) Carlson, six children: Janeen (Braiden) Chamberlain, Jordan (Kelly), Janette (Nate) Nelson, Kelsey, Taylor, and Nicole and six grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father John B and brother Kenneth Owen.

Interment at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah 84120
