Mirinda Ann Schiele

April 27, 1970 – January 16, 2017

Mirinda, a warrior, fought courageously as she battled ovarian cancer. On January 16, 2017 at the age of 46, she put down her sword and shield as she relinquished to the war and went home to her Heavenly Father, while encircled by loved ones. Her body gave out much earlier than her will.

Myndie, as she was known by her family, was born on April 27, 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Daughter of Ann C. Sharp and F. Dennis Sharp. She lived most of her childhood in West Jordan, UT where she graduated from West Jordan High School in 1988. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in urban planning from the University of Utah.

Her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her daughter Mariah. Mariah was her sunshine and her everything. Everything she did was for and with Mariah.

In her last weeks, Mirinda expressed she would miss canning and gardening the most, but she also loved sewing, cooking, and crafting. She was always creative and loved to make things with her own hands. She loved to learn, read and knew something about everything. She was a friend to everyone and was a nurturer at heart. She was service oriented and would go out of her way to help her family and friends. Mirinda loved Mickey Mouse, pink, and being a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Mirinda is survived by her daughter Mariah, her mother Ann C. Sharp, her siblings Merilee (Mark), Monica (Alvaro), Mandalyn (Scott), Marnie (Kory), Michael (Amy), Melodee and Matthew (Evelyn), and Mariah’s father Brian L. Schiele. With many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Please join us to celebrate her on Sunday, January 22, 2017 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Holladay United Church of Christ 2631 E. Murray Holladay Rd, Holladay, UT 84117 and Monday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to funeral services. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 23, 2017 at the same location at 10:30 a.m.

Internment will be held after the service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley 13001 S. 3600 W., Riverton, UT 84065.
