June 27, 1985 – June 29, 2025
Our sweet, beautiful Shane lost his long-fought battle with addiction on June 29, 2025—two days after his 40th birthday. A milestone he reached against all odds, through strength, courage, and an unyielding will to keep going.
Shane had a heart of gold. He loved his family with every ounce of his being. He loved deeply, fiercely, and often without armor. He fought hard every single day. He carried his pain quietly, more often than not, using humor and wild stories to keep the darkness at bay. Even when he stumbled, he never stopped trying to be better.
Addiction and mental illness were never his identity—they were his storm. Through it all, Shane continued to show up in this world with kindness, with loyalty so deep it often broke him, and with a spark that touched everyone lucky enough to know him.
Shane was here.
He was deeply, unconditionally loved.
And he will be missed beyond measure.
Shaner will be forever missed and loved by his mom, Lori, and dad, Dean; his stepmom, Debi; and his siblings: Ryan (Chelsie), Heather (Taylor), Nicolas (Kalaya), and Kiara. He was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces, Kennedy and Elliott, and nephews, Jagger, Jaxtin, and Taysin. He also leaves behind many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward with love and honor.
A Celebration of Life is to be held on Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 at 6:00 PM located at the Sugar Beet Pavilion in the south east corner of Sugarhouse Park (1400 East 2100 South - Salt Lake City, Utah).
“FLY HIGH, OUR SWEET, BEAUTIFUL BOY!”
