With deep love, we announce the passing of Steven Wallace Boggess, a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend, who passed away on October 7th, 2026. Steven was born in Murray, Utah on July 22nd, 1968, and passed at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 58.
Steven graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1986 and joined the US Navy, serving as a Boiler Technician aboard the USS Prairie, a service he wore proudly. Upon discharge, Steven married his first wife to which his three children were born. Steven was a loving father who enjoyed reading, history, the Utah Jazz, Seattle Seahawks, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Legos and Model Building, and his grandchildren above all else.
He is survived by his three children: Stephani Boggess, Davin Boggess, Hannah Boggess; Two grandchildren: Elijah Waldron, Lorenzo Mubarispur; Siblings: Lisa Boggess Crawford, Clifford Boggess, William Boggess, Linda Johnson, Brian Boggess, Cale Lennberg; And father, Harold David Boggess. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy LaDee Downs Boggess, and stepmother, JeNeal Boggess.
A Memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 15th, 2026 at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park Chapel in Bluffdale, Utah at 12pm. Those who wish to honor Steven may attend the service and interment to follow at 1pm.
