William A Scott

William "Bill" Allen Scott of Riverton, Utah passed away on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025 at the age of 81. He was born to Glen Watson Scott and Rubell R Echols Scott on December 29th, 1943 in Zanesville, Ohio. He was the youngest of three children. After several moves, his family settled in Arco, Idaho. While in Idaho, he met and married his wife, Patricia Somsen. Their union was blessed with two children: Dale and Paula.

He worked for Wasatch Electric, and Utah Power & Light which became Rocky Mountain Power, from which he retired. Bill had studied and became an apprentice as an electrical lineman. During his working years, he relocated his little family to Utah. He is remembered as a congenial and unpretentious man. He took great pains to care for his wife prior to her passing. It was inspiring to see.

He is survived by his children: Dale and Paula, his sister: Dorothy Shoup. Bill was preceded in death by his beautiful wife Patricia; his brother Don, his brother-in-law Dennis Shoup, and his parents.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 26th, 2025 at 11 am, at Family Funeral Care (located in Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley). The graveside service will follow outside at 1 pm. The address for both services is 13001 South 3600 West, Riverton, Utah.
