Sherman Mack Kasey

Born on March 16, 1937, Sherman lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 68 years, Phyllis; his children, Deborah Powell, Robert Kasey and his wife Melissa, and Roberta Santos and her husband David Mankin. His memory lives on through his ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sisters, Barbara Smith and Billie Bellio. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edgar and Georgia Rose Kasey; sisters Ethel and Patty; and brothers Tommy and George; Son Timothy Canaday.

A dedicated employee of Yokohama Tire for over three decades, Sherman was respected for his tireless work ethic and unwavering commitment. His integrity left a meaningful impact on all who worked alongside him. Outside of work, Sherman loved nothing more than to hunt and fish with his son and longtime friend Randy Arthur.

A visitation will be held on December 3, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, located at 5731 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, VA 24012.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

A mausoleum committal will take place at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Rd NW, Roanoke, Virginia 24012, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm on December 3, 2025.
