
Rev. Curtis Andrew Haislip, 87, went to his heavenly home on Friday, January 15, 2016 .The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Greenville Church of God where he pastored for many years. He will be entombed in the mausoleum at Homestead Cemetery in Greenville.
Curtis Haislip was born in Martin County on May 13, 1928. He was the son of the late Andrew Haislip and Estelle Rawls Haislip.
Rev Haislip was called to preach at the young age of 18 and continued to minister until the age of 76. He pastored in many states including North Carolina in the North, East, South and West. Also he preached in Richmond Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky. His church in Richmond also had a church school that he was a part of and he taught many young ministers.
Also he was the overseer of the Pastors Induction for the Church of God Conference. He very definitely was a man that loved God and showed it in his actions.
On June 26, 1999 he married Mollie Jones Beach Haislip who survives. Survivors in addition to his wife are daughters Carolyn Virginia Cantrill and husband Clarence, Patricia Raines and husband Bill, Shelia Hall and husband Tim, Judy Haislip, Betty Sue Geissinger and husband Tom, and Sherry Dailey and husband Donnie, son Charles Haislip and wife Robin, brother Edsel Haislip and wife Peggy of Grimesland, and sister Norma Winders of Marion, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Marilyn Virginia Leggette Haislip, his sister, Blanche Ange; older brother, Hubert Haislip, and younger brother, Dallas Haislip. He was also preceded in death by his rand so Javan Daley.
The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30-8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home in Robersonville and other times at the residence 102 W Purvis St.
