Jesse B. Green

Jesse B Edward Green 83 of Newport NC peacefully passed away at Carteret General Hospital, Morehead City NC, Sunday morning September 15th with his family by his side. Jesse was born December 29, 1929 in Robersonville NC. He was a decorated combat veteran who survived two tours in Vietnam. Over his distinguished 20 year Army career, he served in a number of important assignments throughout the United States and overseas. Jesse was a lifetime member of the American Legion, a loving father and a friend to all.

He is survived by his three daughters Jennifer Schmitt of Smiths AL, Gwendalyn Wimbish of Newport NC, Cheryl McMullin of Phenix City AL, one son James Green of Smiths AL, four sisters Betty Jean White of Windsor, Gloria Arthur of Nashville, Becky White of Williamston, Doris Ingalls of Winston-Salem, and one brother Robert Green of Rocky Point, 9 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Williamston with full military honors; burial will follow at Robersonville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home of Becky White 108 Spruce St Williamston NC
