Rachel Baker Mayo

Rachel Baker Mayo, 86, died September 20, 2012 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville. She was born in Doziers Corner near Bridgeton Va. on January 8, 1926 to the late Noah & Lottie Baker. She lived her early life in Aurora and Beaufort County. On December 27, 1943 married the love of her life Marion Freeman Mayo until his death on January 2, 1998.

She is survived by her daughters Norma Casper & husband Edward of Robersonville, NC. Phyllis Smith of Greenville,NC. sons Steve Mayo & wife Jamie of Fairfax, Va. Danny Mayo & wife Clara of Lincolnton, NC. sister Ann Robertson of Jacksonville, Florida brother Elmer Baker of Texas, 7 Grandchildren & 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 11:00 AM at the Lowland Community Cemetery in Lowland, N.C. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home, 302 West Main Street, Williamston, N.C.
