Sally and Walter opened Keel’s Country Grocery just outside of Robersonville, where Sally was the primary storekeeper for 38 years. It was there where she made many lifelong friends. After retiring from the store in 1987, Sally worked part-time at the Robersonville Library, where she was able to continue to work with the public, and enjoy her passion for reading.
She also loved to knit and crochet, as shown by the many gifts that she made for her grandchildren, other family members and friends. She also loved to play Scrabble, an often competitive family game.
It was important to Sally to raise her family in a Christian home. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Robersonville, which provided strength and guidance throughout her entire adult life.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Martin General Hospital staff, nurses, and doctors for their loving care of our “Mom”.
Flowers are appreciated, or donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Robersonville, 206 West Railroad Street, Robersonville, NC, 27871, or to the Robersonville Rescue Squad.
