David Daryl Ahr

David Daryl Ahr, a devoted follower of Christ, passionate racing and NASCAR enthusiast, loyal Houston Astros fan, gifted mechanic, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday 9/18/2025. He was 72 years old.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dorvian Richard (PeeWee) Ahr and Geraldine (Gerri) Johanna Young Ahr, who now welcome him home.

He was deeply loved as family by Jeremiah and Evalinda Maldonado and their daughter Marissa Cuelllar-Franco. He loved spending time with all of us and had a soft spot for the family dogs, who adored him in return. He also found a true family in the Good Samaritan community.

He was known for his steady hands in the shop, his excitement whenever NASCAR or the Astros were playing, and finding his love for simple joys-collecting coins, watching the stars, and finding peace in nature. His memory will live on in every racetrack roar, every Astros game, every star-filled night sky, every moment of quiet prayer, and in the hearts of those lucky enough to have called him family and friend.

David's Celebration Of Life will be held at 6:30 pm, Friday, October 24, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Park Chapel.
