With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Soto Hernandez, who left this world on February 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 15, 1953, in Mercedes, TX, to Guadalupe and Guadalupe Soto, Elizabeth’s life was one of one of brilliant life, love, and devotion to her cherished family

She is survived by her beloved husband, Marcos Hernandez Jr., her cherished son, Joshua, daughter-in-law Jamie, and her adored grandchildren Madison, Abigail, Ethan, and Zachary Hernandez, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her brothers, Guadalupe Soto and Noe Soto, along with countless nieces, nephews, godchildren, and friends whose lives she touched.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved siblings: Moncerat Soto de Muraira, Esther Adela Soto de Martinez, Nicolas Soto, Felipe Soto, Ernestina Elvia Soto-Trevino, Enesdel Soto, Blanca Soto, and Eunice Perez. Though she has reunited with them, her presence will be profoundly missed here on Earth.

A woman of immense creativity, Elizabeth had a gift for crafting. Whether through her beautifully crocheted works, her carefully made ceramic figures, or the many other artistic projects she poured her heart into, she found joy in creating and sharing her talents with those around her. Her cooking was always phenomenal and no one walked from her home hungry. However, her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and godchildren, whom she loved deeply.

Elizabeth’s warmth, generosity, and boundless love will be missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Memorial Park, located at 4607 FM-1889, Robstown, TX.
