In loving memory of Hermelinda Luna Garza of Robstown, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 09, 2025, at the age of 76. Hermelinda touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in our hearts. Hermelinda met her husband, Luis Carrillo Garza in 1964 at The Gulf Movie Theater in Robstown, TX. They married two years later, on May 23, 1966. Luis was Hermelinda’s first and only boyfriend and they were happily married for 59 years. Hermelinda was a housewife and a dedicated and loving mother of four. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and accepted Christ in her heart. Throughout her entire life, Hermelinda held an unwavering faith in God. She instilled the love of the Lord in the hearts of her children and everyone who surrounded her. Hermelinda never parted ways with her loved ones without saying, “I love you and God bless you”. Though Hermelinda may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love. She is now at peace in the arms of her Savior and has reunited with her parents, Selsa Espinoza (Mother), Lorenzo Luna (Father), and her sisters, Rosalinda Trevino and Jaine Pain, in Heaven. Hermelinda is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years Luis Carrillo Garza; her four children, Dolores (Pete) Ramon, Maria Elena Cook, Celia (Robert) Suarez, and Luis (Jenna) Garza; her eleven grandchildren, Martin (Christina) Medina Jr., Stephanie (Carlos) Charles, Roberto (Gracie) Suarez Jr., Pedro Ramon Jr., Michael Ramon, Justin (Tiffany) Suarez, Andrew (Madi) Suarez, Rudy Ortiz III, Amber Ortiz (Justin Martinez), Logan Bautista, and Genesis Suarez; and her eleven great grandchildren.
Hermelinda’s favorite Bible Verse that she clung onto was Mateo 25:21 Su señor respondió: “Hiciste bien, siervo bueno y fiel. En lo poco has sido fiel; te pondré a cargo de mucho más. ¡Ven a compartir la felicidad de tu señor!”
Celebration of life/Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Park (4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX 78380). The memorial service will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Hermelinda will be laid to rest at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Park.
