Jose Hernandez, Jr., 53, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025. A devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend, he will be remembered for his generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and quiet strength.
Born in Nueces County, on April 26, 1972, Jose dedicated over 35 years to construction, specializing in concrete work. He took immense pride in his craft and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to every job. His hands helped build more than just structures — they built a life defined by integrity, service, and love.
Jose’s greatest joy came from being with his family. He would do anything for his loved ones, especially his child, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Whether lending a hand, offering support, or simply being present, he gave freely of his time and heart. His quiet acts of kindness left lasting impressions on all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter and his son; his siblings: Patricia Gutierrez (Willie Garza), Suzanna Hernandez (Manuel Bueno), Joshua Hernandez (Valerie), and Andrew Hernandez (Carolina); many grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Rodriguez Hernandez, and his mother, Enedelia Treviño.
Jose’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched with his generosity and love. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished. Visitation will be held from 11am-3pm, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Park. Service will conclude after.
