Marcus Ramirez, aged 80, went home to be with the Lord, August 10, 2026. He was born on July 16, 1946, in Cottle County, Texas, A devoted husband , loving godfather , and friend. He spent his life working hard, loving deeply, and bringing his own unique sense of humor to those around him.
Marcus built a career working in grain with South Texas Feed & Seed. He was a hardworking man who took pride in his work and for providing for those he loved.
Marcus will be remembered for his love and devotion to his wife, Longina P. Ramirez. He enjoyed many things in life, including being a Cotton Picker, and watching the Dallas Cowboys play while enjoying his favorite cold Busch beer, and watching Western movies. He was also known for his tough exterior and, as his family lovingly described him, an even rougher interior.
Those who knew Marcus will especially remember his sense of humor. He enjoyed drinking a hot cup of coffee every morning , making funny jokes to make his family laugh his favorite dessert, Neapolitan ice cream. These little moments and memories will remain treasured by those who knew and loved him.
Marcus was preceded in death by his brothers, Raul Ramirez, Manuel Ramirez, Jesse Ramirez, and his sister Celia Ramirez.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Longina P. Ramirez; brother-in-law Arturo Perez Sr; nephews Arturo Perez Jr., John Joe Perez, Ray Perez, and nieces , Frances Perez and Elizabeth Perez; great-nieces and great-nephews Gina Suarez, Alexis Suarez, Stephanie Nerio, Candace Vasquez, Arturo Perez III, and Adrian Perez; and his siblings, Jose Ramirez, Gloria Ramirez, and Mikaela Ramirez.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Brandy Suarez, Marcus's goddaughter and caregiver, for the time, love, and extraordinary effort she gave during his life and final year of life. The family also extends heartfelt gratitude to Ray Perez and Alexis Suarez for their visits, support, and for being present during Marcos's final days.
Marcus leaves behind a lifetime of memories and the love of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Park, 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX 78380, US, on August 21, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by the Holy Rosary from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
A Funeral Service will take place at Funeraria del Angel-Memorial Park on August 21, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm, with a Committal Service to follow from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the same location.
