Maria Celia Garcia was born on July 31, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio, and passed away on October 3, 2025, in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Guadalupe H. Garcia; her son, Ricardo Garcia; her daughter, Alma Linda Lopez; and her granddaughter, Christina Garcia.
She is survived by her loving children, Raynaldo (Roberta) Garcia, Dora Elva Garza (Manuel), and Romaldo (Lesvia Luna) Garcia.
She also leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and going for walks. She had a deep love for watching The Rifleman, and she never turned down a soda or something sweet.
Her great sense of humor and kind spirit often earned her the compliment, “You’re so cute!”
She had a special love for both Christian music and Coritos, blending faith and culture in the soundtrack of her life.
A devoted mother, she loved her family fiercely. More than anything, she loved God. A strong woman of faith, she lived her life with the blessed assurance that one day she would rest in her Lord’s loving arms.
She was the last of her siblings to pass, closing a chapter in a family deeply rooted in love and strength.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5:00-9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Park.
Funeral Service will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00 am at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Park.
Interment will follow at Memorial Park.
