Bobby enjoyed drag boats and race cars and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom Gunter and Elizabeth Gunter; his longtime companion, Paula Jean Neill; and his siblings, Tom Gunter Jr., David Gunter, Elizabeth Gunter, and Rita Gunter.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Don and Terri Eller, Lorna Yates, Carol Black, Lee Sellers, Teri and Ed Sundman, as well as Dr. Thompkins, Windsor Rehabilitation Center, and Choice Hospice, for the care and compassion shown during Bobby’s final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on January 9, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park, located at 4607 FM 1889, Robstown, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobby’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of life will follow the service at Vick’s Place, 7136 FM 666, Mathis, TX.
