Samuel P Garcia

Samuel Perez Garcia, 75, of Odem, Texas passed away on September 15, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Samuel was born on March 8, 1948 to Daniel Silva and Bertha Pena in Robstown, Texas and was later adopted by Benito and Guadalupe Garcia. He was a devout Catholic and a hard worker all of his life, spending 30 years as a stocking manager for Kroger before becoming a General Contractor. Samuel is preceded in death by his son, Steven Garcia Sr. grandson, Sam “Samson” Garcia III, siblings; Felix Garcia, Daniel Silva Jr., David Silva, Irene Vasquez, Irma Sanchez, Joel Silva, and Noe Pena. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 25 years, Jayne Garcia, children; Elyjah Juan Mendez, Terry (Arturo) Avila, Roberto (Dahlia) Tapia, Sam (Elaine) Garcia Jr., Steven Garcia, Amanda (Robert) Cortez, Samantha (Andrew) Martinez, Veronica Guajardo, Elyssa Guajardo and Carmen Guajardo, brothers; Gerardo (Fidela) Silva and Balthazar (Ofilia) Pena. He also leaves behind his 15 grandchildren and 5 adopted grandchildren, including his sidekick Jeremy Lorenzo Cortez Jackson as well as 11 great grandchildren. Samuel also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws.
