Arthur Stratton

Art was born the son of Arthur and Virginia (Cornell) Stratton in Kalamazoo, Michigan on January 21st, 1952. Art married Janie Paulen on May 23, 1980 in Pontiac, Michigan. Art worked in many capacities throughout his career including auto mechanic, mason, and oil field operation. Art was a jack of all trades, picking up anything he set his mind to.

Art loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Art is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Janie Stratton; children Arthur Stratton III (aka Butch), Cassandra Stratton, and David Sands; grandchildren Amanda, Sarah, Aaron, Raquel, Brian Jr., Shana, Breanna, and Emily; 10 great-grandchildren; and siblings Sherri Wolfe, Greg Stratton, Dan (Cindy) Stratton, Karvell (Pebbles) Stewart, and Konnie Stratton.

Art’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Thursday August 17th, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday August 18th, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
