Beverly Jean Baird

Beverly Baird, 84, of Rock Island passed away Monday May 13, 2013 at Hope Creek Nursing Home in East Moline. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Beverly was born February 14, 1929 in Rock Island, the daughter of Harry and Helen (Christiansen) Peterson. She was united in marriage to Charles “Howie” Baird February 24, 1951 in Rock Island.

Beverly was a very good house keeper, and enjoyed working around the house and yard. She was an antique doll and carriage collector, and enjoyed finishing other antiques. Beverly was an honorary commander of Disable American Veterans (DAV), and was a member of Memorial Christian Church for many years. She was an all around good person, and loved spending time with her family. Beverly had many friends and acquaintances.

Beverly is survived by her husband Charles Baird, and her son Randall Baird.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rex Peterson, and sister Caroline Whalen.
