David Lee Kump

Visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday at the Hodgson Funeral Home Rock Island, IL with a prayer service at 4:00PM. Funeral services will be 10:00AM Friday (10/21/2011) at St. Ambrose Catholic Church Milan, IL. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery Moline. . Memorials may be made to The American Heart or Lung Association.

Dave was born March 21, 1933 in Oregon, IL to Ferd & Dorothy (Drumheller) Kump. He was united in marriage to Anna Mae Baldassar on June 4, 1956 in Trinidad, Co. .

He was a veteran of the US Army having served from 1953-55. He had been a construction worker for 20 years working out of Teamsters Local 371 until his retirement in 1990.

Dave was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church Milan, IL, Teamsters Local# 371, and the North American Fishing Club. He loved fishing, wood crafting, gardening, bird watching (eagles were his favorite), and spending time with his friends & family especially his great grand children.

Survivors: wife Anna Mae Kump, Rock Island, IL; Son Alan (Alice) Kump, Davenport, IA; daughter Annette (Craig) Morris, Milan, IL; Grandson Justin (Bethany) Kump; Granddaughter Alena Morris (Rob Edwards); Grandson Aaron (Jennifer) Morris both of Milan, IL;

Step-grandchildren Bethany & Nathan Schneckenberger, Davenport, IA; Great grandchildren Andrew Doyle, Owen Kump, Jaron, Logan & Zayden Morris; Sister Phyllis Brown, Sterling, IL;

4 brothers, Raymond, Adaline, IL, Evert (Sam), Darrell (Jake), and Dennis Kump, Oregon, IL; and several close friends & neighbors, including Pat Hayden.

Dave was preceded in death by 3 sisters Maritta Bullard, Irma Moser & Sue Kump; 2 brothers Donald & Harold Kump.
