Dorothy H. Rayborn

Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Monday, July 8, 2013 at Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Dorothy was born to William and Anna Scott on February 16, 1924 in Rose Hill, Iowa, and adopted and raised by Lawrence and Eleanor (Scott) Sward. She married Harold E. Rayborn on June 26, 1948. They were divorced in 1974.

Dorothy was a legal secretary for many years. In 1994 she retired from Modern Woodmen of America after 26 years at the age of 70. She was a fun-loving spirit who enjoyed music, singing, dancing, and a fine glass of chardonnay. She loved playing the piano and was also an avid animal lover.
