Ramona B Hoegerl

Ramona B. Hoegerl, 83, of Rock Island, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013 at St. Anthony’s Nursing and Rehabilitation in Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Island. Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 6:00 PM Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Hodgson Funeral Home. Burial will be at National Cemetery Rock Island Arsenal. She was born October 15, 1929 in St. Edward, Nebraska, daughter of Ernest and Carrie Christensen.

Ramona Christensen was united in marriage to Alvin (Don) Hoegerl on April 29, 1952 in Columbus, NE. He preceded her in death in 1996. She worked at Servus Rubber in younger years and then was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Society and Altar Guild and many other church activities. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very dedicated to them.

Those left to honor her memory are son and daughters, Jack (Sharee) Hoegerl, Rock Island, Gail (John) Hildreth, Rock Island, and Donna (Lyle) Harris, Rock Island; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren with one on the way; three sisters and five brothers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
