A lifelong South Shore resident, Jay spent much of his career as a contractor, building and renovating homes throughout the surrounding communities. He took great pride in his work and, more importantly, in the lasting relationships he formed along the way. A familiar face throughout the tri-town area, Jay was regularly seen driving around in his red pickup truck.
Family and friends were at the center of Jay's life. He was devoted to his wife, Patti, with whom he built a family, a home, and a wonderful circle of friends. He was incredibly proud of his three children and adored his eight grandchildren. Some of his happiest memories were made during family gatherings, Condon Christmas celebrations, and trips to Maine and Disney World.
Jay found happiness in life's simple pleasures: tending to his yard, power washing and leaf blowing, watching the birds from his backyard cabana, listening to music, and sharing coffee and conversation with his McDonald's group. He had a genuine love of people, a natural curiosity, and an ability to make connections wherever he went.
Jay leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond the homes he built. It lives on in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, and the countless lives he touched. He will be deeply missed.
Jay was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Jane and Kay; his brother, John. He is survived by his wife, Patti (Taranto) Condon of Abington; his three children, Amanda (Condon) Adamczyk and her husband, William, of Abington; Scott Condon of Newton, NH; and Chris Condon of Lafayette Hill, PA; and his eight grandchildren, Clare and Liam Adamczyk; Cora and Sutton Condon; and Lily, Jack, Kylie, and Addison Condon. He also leaves his brothers, Ned Condon and his wife Kathy of Whitman and David Condon and his wife Kathy of Pembroke, and numerous nieces and nephews.
