Abbye L. Bussear

She came to Brevard County with her husband and son, Gary and Richard, from White River Junction, Vermont in 1977. She was born in Randolph, Vermont on March 30, 1937. Abbye is retired from the Florida Today Newspaper where she worked as a graphic artist.

She is survived by: her husband of 40 years, Gary Bussear of Cocoa, Florida; two sons – Richard Mohan, of Cocoa, Florida and Cliff Johnson, o an adopted daughter Kimberly Mohan, both of Merritt Island, Florida; a granddaughter, Lily Mohan of Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters – Nellie Goewey, husband Cliff in Vermont, and Amy Greene Quennville, husband Jerry, in Vermont.

Abbye was a member of The First Baptist Church Of Merritt Island, Florida for approximately 31 years, church which she loved so much. During her time at First Baptist Church, she taught 2nd grade Sunday school for a number of years and also sang in the choir and participated in a number of other things.

Visitation for Abbye will be on Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 am.
