‘Al’ of Melbourne, passed away on June 24, 2018. He was born on October 19, 1920 in Winnipeg, Canada as one of 12 children to Michael and Lillian Rennick. He leaves behind a sole surviving sibling, Florence Allegra of Melbourne.
Al grew up in Winnipeg and during the war years served as a navigator for the Royal Canadian Air Force.
In 1954, he moved to Long Island, NY and lived with his sister Olive and worked for TWA. He became a U.S. citizen and went to work for the U.S.Navy Dept. and soon was promoted as a top civil engineer, designing buildings for the Commissary Stores throughout the entire world.
Upon his retirement, he moved to Melbourne, where he resided until his passing. ‘Uncle Al’ as he was fondly called by so many of his family and friends, will be missed by everyone that knew him.
A memorial visitation and service will be held in Al’s honor at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial (on US 1), Rockledge on Sat. July 14 at 2pm.
