2026 at the age of 51, following a stroke. She was born on
September 8, 1974 in Towson, Maryland to parents Pamela Holten
Foley Bass and Eugene Duncan Bass Jr.
She was raised on Merritt Island and learned to play the piano and
clarinet and graduated with a degree in Finance from the University
of Central Florida where she enjoyed Greek Life as a proud member
of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She worked in title companies and had
worked for the past 15 years for Health First, most recently as a
Provider Network Contract Specialist.
While in college, she met her future husband, Alex (Barry) Crook and they were married in 2000. They had twin sons, Jacob Crook and Christopher Crook in 2004. When Alex passed away in 2009, Amy became a single mother. She moved her family back to Merritt Island to be closer to family. Even with her own medical issues, she
was devoted to caring for her sons. Recently, Amy found love again
and was engaged to John Perrine with plans for a wedding next
summer.
Amy had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh and enjoyed
game nights and outings with her friends, family celebrations,
cruises, attending John’s musical gigs, and being near the water. We take solace knowing she is in the healing presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ.
