

Ann passed away peacefully at home in Melbourne, Florida, on April 26, 2025, just weeks before her 92nd birthday.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, P.K.; daughter Laura Ann "L.A." Waelti (Rick) of Melbourne, FL; son Preston Sheldon (Kimberly) of St. Pete Beach, FL; grandson Gerald Waelti of Melbourne, FL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. Ann was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Michael Chuffa; her brother, Michael Chuffa (Grace); and her sister, Helen Lokke (Peter).
Born in New York City, Ann was said to have a genius IQ and graduated high school three years early. Breaking barriers in her career, she became one of the first female insurance agents in New York and continued her success in Florida. Ann was a licensed 220 (General Lines Agent) and 120 (Surplus Lines Agent), earning her CPIW designation (Certified Professional Insurance Woman). She served as past president of the Gold Coast Chapter of NAIW (National Association of Insurance Women),was a two time recipient of the Florida Insurance Woman of the Year, and was deeply involved in her church, St. Joan of Arc in Boca Raton,as a Eucharistic Minister, sponsor in RCIA, involved in Marriage Encounter, and young couples pre-marriage counseling, as well as actively involved in her local Council of Catholic Women. Ann also dedicated her time as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader and was a member of the Boca Chapter of the Red Hat Ladies.
A talented painter and author, Ann lived a life filled with passion, faith, and service to others. She will be honored in a memorial service on her 92nd birthday, May 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Chapel, 370 SW 3rd St., Boca Raton, FL 33432.
