

Born October 4, 1925 in New York, New York, Anne graduated from Julia Richman High School in 1943. She met Elmer Carlson in the WNYC Radio studios and they were married on December 12, 1948. They migrated to Merritt Island, Florida in 1969. They shared 41 years of marriage before Elmer’s passing in 1989.
Anne devoted her life to faith and family. She was a dedicated member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, even serving as their long-time office manager. She served as an Eucharistic Minister, a Minister to the Sick, and a Minister for the parish’s Christ Renews His Parish retreats. In retirement, she loved sewing, crafts, puzzles, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; two grandchildren, James and Michael; and a daughter-in-law, Tonya (Schiavino) Carlson. Anne is survived by her children, Chris (Debbie) Carlson, whom she lived with comfortably during her final years; Jeanne (Eric) Kniedler; Charles (Brenda) Carlson; and Steven Carlson. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren, James Carlson; Michael Carlson; Patrick (Danielle) Carlson; Michelle Smith; Marie (Raja) Randev; Amanda Copp; Melissa Kniedler; Jeremy Carlson; Carissa (Michael) Venetti; Jeffrey Carlson; Jacob (Kimberly) Carlson and Mark Carlson; and five great-grandchildren (Aariv, Veera, Anna Jane, Charlie, and Milo).
A private viewing, service, and interment will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Health First Foundation or a charity of your choice.
