

Tony was born in Denver, Colorado where he was adopted by his parents Francis and Jean Magill. They settled in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Tony was an accomplished swimmer holding multiple state and national championships. He went on to swim for the University of Miami and competed at the U.S. Olympic trials. After college, he returned to Brevard County and started his career in the space program. He worked at KSC for over 30 years supporting the Space Shuttle program.
Tony loved Disney, especially his favorite character, Goofy. You could always count on him to wear a Goofy tie every Sunday at church. Tony touched the lives of countless individuals over several decades as a Sunday School teacher in the student ministry. He enjoyed road trips, retreats, and adventures all while leading and mentoring young students. He was active in the choir and never missed a chance to sing every holiday season in the church's Christmas shows.
He had a love of music that ranged from big band to Motown and Broadway musicals. He enjoyed attending shows with his family and friends and making countless memories. He was a talented musician, playing the clarinet and piano.
Tony was preceded in death by his loving wife, Connie.
He is survived by his wife Sue ("Susie" to him); his two sons, Stephen (& wife, Kristin) and Michael; his sister, Claire Braun (& husband, John); his stepchildren, Rachel Speck, Paul Speck, Joseph Sperry, and Jessica Sperry Thomas; and numerous extended family members and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday, April 5, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 S US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL 32955, followed by a celebration of life at 12:00 PM.
