Arthur D Neustel

Arthur D. Neustel, 86, Rockledge, FL died peacefully at home on March 4, 2015. He was born on June 25, 1928 in Pullman, WA. He came to Brevard County in 1984 after earning his Ph.D from Virginia Tech. to teach business finance at University of Central Florida, Brevard Campus and retired in 1992.

Arthur served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1950. During that time, he served as an aviator and as a submarine engineer, after earning two Masters degrees from MIT.

In retirement, Art was active in the Episcopal community serving on the vestries of St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal Churches, before becoming a founding member of the Prince of Peace Anglican Community.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara of 62 years; sons, Gary Neustel, Randall Neustel (Margaret), daughter, Sandra Neustel, and 4 grandchildren. He is also survived by brother, Elmer Neustel, and sisters, Mildred Starr and Caroline Stewart.

A celebration of life will be held at Prince of Peace Church, Murrell Rd., Viera, FL on Tuesday, March 10th at 10am. Private burial service will be held by the family at Florida Memorial Gardens.
