Barbie will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her surviving family members: her brother Robert Loy (Anita); her daughter Phebe Wehlen (Joe); her fictive kin Susan Foster; her grandchildren Leigh O'Rourke (Matt), Sean Cook, Cherie Cook, Adam Cooper, and Olivia Cooper; as well as her step-grandchildren Joseph Wehlen, James Wehlen, and Elise Wehlen; and her great-grandchildren Bilal Nsouli and Caitlyn Cook, along with her step-great-grandchild Draven O'Rourke.
She dedicated many years of her life to serving the community, retired from the Orange County Clerk of the Court. Her commitment to her work and her kindness towards others left a lasting impact on those she encountered. Additionally, Barbie was an active member of the Tampa Bay Chihuahua Club, where she found joy in her dedication as a volunteer and proud Chihuahua breeder. Her passion for these beloved companions brought happiness to many and further showcased her generous spirit and love for animals.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in honor of Barbie on May 25, 2024 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by the service at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Faith Baptist Church Food Pantry/Take Them a Meal Program (3400 Murrell Rd, Rockledge, FL 32955).
Barbie's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
