I think about Barbara very often.  I was talking about her just yesterday with others at the dog park who also knew Barbara.  I miss spending time with Barbara both at the YMCA and at the Wickham Dog Park.  It is very difficult to realize that she has been in heaven for almost a year!
My thoughts and prayers are with you - her family and loved ones!

Barbara was a woman who oozed love and acceptance of those who came into her life.  She loved her family and showed by example what it meant to be part of a family.  
She was an example of a Christian woman, who loved God and lived her life to serve him. 
I have known Barbara for almost seven years, when I came into the Van Buren family through dating her son David, she always made my daughters and I feel welcome and part of the family.  She was gracious and always happy to see us come by or to have her over to the house.
She loved her children and her grandchildren with a vengenace and would do anything anyone needed or wanted.
My last memory of Barbara is from Memorial Day when we had the family over for a cookout before DJ and his family left for Hawaii.  I looked out of the porch and there was Barb playing cornhole, with a big smile on her face.  You could tell she was enjoying herself.
She was a true Matriarch of the family and the glue held the family together.  
She will be missed by her family and her friends ~ but one day we will all be together again!

Barbara was a person whoM I respected and liked.  I met her about 10 years ago at our local YMCA and our relationship continued a the YMCA and at the local Dog Park.  She was a lovely lady with a 'heart of gold' for everyone.  
She talked so positively about her family.  She was sad that her husband of many years is unable to be at home because of his illness.  She missed him greatly.
Barbar's doggie Lucky was a terrific friend for Barbara.  She treated him like a little child and he treated her like a 'loving mother'.  
I will miss Barbara.  I had hoped to go to Boone, NC with her this summer.  Now that will not happen.
I spent the afternoon with her two days before she died. She seemed to feel good and she shared the pictures of her granddaughter's recent wedding.  She was so happy!
Her death was a complete surprise to me.  She seemed very well on Thursday with all of us at the doggie park.  
May Barbara rest in peace.
Her earthly struggles are over..

Barbara was the second person I met when we moved to Florida.  That friendship lasted more than 50 years....and what a great friendship it was!  Barb was a thoughtful, generous, beautiful and classy lady!  Her footprints will be in my heart forever.  My prayers, hugs and love to Barbara's family.
