Bessie Eula Mae Franklin

Bessie Eula Mae Franklin, age 87, of Palm Bay, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on March 26, 2026. Born May 1, 1938 in College Corner, Ohio to Hugh and Emma Hornsby. She came to Brevard County in 1971 from Liberty, Indiana.

Bessie was an avid bowler and homemaker.

She was a wonderful wife for over 70 years, to her beloved Lewis B. Franklin and mother to 3 children, Kenneth, Lynda and Gary (deceased) Franklin; Grand Mom to 5 grandchildren, April McGahee (Michael), Latina Nousain (Aaron), Matthew Franklin (Landie Jo), Sean McAhren (Sheila), and Rachel McAhren; 8 great grandchildren, Bryan Cauthen (Holly), Celina Diaz, Destiny Torres, Ethan McGahee, Tyler and Brandon Franklin, Norah and Raven McAhren and 5 great-great grandchildren, Ayden Martinez, Kylen Harris, Rhea, and Olivia and Willow Cauthen. And also, her sisters, Nellie Nesselhauf and Alberta Hornsby. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Hugh and Emma Adams Hornsby and brothers, Orville and Vernon.

A Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 beginning at 12:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida with a Committal Service at 2:00pm in Florida Memorial Gardens.
