Betty J Shaw

"Betty Jean Shaw passed away peacefully in her sleep August 20, 2017, after celebrating her 90th birthday surrounded by family and friends the day before. Born in 1927 in Eau Gallie, Florida and raised in Ray City, Georgia, Betty was a true Southern belle. She grew up on a farm, the youngest of eight children. After graduating from Ray City High School, she met the love of her life and husband of over 55 years, the late William H. Shaw Sr. Together they settled down in Rockledge, Florida and raised their three children. After the passing of William, she was lovingly cared for by her son, Mike, for over 10 years. Betty always said she didn't want to be anywhere but in her own home when she passed. Her wishes were fulfilled.

Betty will be remembered for her unconditional love, kindness, and optimism. She was an amazing cook and homemaker throughout her life. She found beauty in the simple aspects of life and was at her happiest when surrounded by family and friends. Betty was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She touched the hearts of everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all of us left behind. She is finally at peace and reunited with all of those that went before her. "
