He will be lovingly remembered by his only daughter Judith Ann Anderson and son-in-law Bill Anderson. Also known as beloved Papa to grandchildren Holly Anderson and Craig Anderson (Karly) and great-grandchildren Koby Anderson and Kade Anderson.
Cecil was born in Pendleton County, KY near Falmouth along the Licking River. He was the son of farmer and Railroad worker Luther Colvin and Emma Cummins Colvin. He quit high school after 10th grade as was common in rural early 40's America. His father told him if he left school he must have a job. His passion was truck driving, which is what he did and never looked back. Most of his professional tractor trailer driving was with Duff Truck Lines in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He and his beloved wife Norma along with daughter Judy lived in Ludlow, KY just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. They were avid fans of the Cincinnati Reds. They belonged to the Ludlow United Methodist Church where Cecil was a Sunday school teacher. At the time of his retirement Cecil was 3rd in truck driver seniority. After nearly 50 years truck driving he and Norma moved to Melbourne, FL to be closer to their daughter's family.
