He was the son of Russell and Ida Maurer. Prior to retirement he worked at Jem Products in Lawrenceville, PA. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. He was a WWII veteran, serving in the Army as a staff sergeant, he was stationed in Alaska.
He enjoyed yard work and helping at his church and spending time with his family. His kind and generous nature earned him the love and respect of many. Cecil’s smile and laugh were infectious.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years ,Vivian Dias; his sister, Leona Freda; his brother-in-law, Ralph Freda and nephew David Freda. Left to cherish his memory are his nephew, Don Freda and his wife Maureen their children Don Freda, Jr., Lisa Freda and Lori Freda.
There will be a visitation held from 1-2pm on Monday, February 13, 2016 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL followed by a graveside service at 2pm at Florida Memorial Gardens.
