Cheryl Campfield Marlette went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2024, at the age of 72. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children, Michelle Hintz (Chris), Tye Kuehner (Melody), Krysten Marlette, and her brother, Bart Campfield (Cathy). Cheryl loved being “Grammy” to her grandchildren, Kyle, Madison, Callie, Brittney and Brooke.
Cheryl was born in Catonsville, Maryland to Barton (Buck) and Obera (Bea) Campfield, who preceded her in death. She moved to Brevard County in 1965. She graduated from Cocoa High School in 1970 and went on to study nursing at Brevard Community College. She worked as an RN at Wuesthoff Hospital, spending most of her career as head nurse of the recovery room. She loved being a nurse.
Due to various health issues, Cheryl spent her last few years in Assisted Living. She was blessed by numerous care givers who became like family. We are very grateful for the love and compassion they showed our mom.
A funeral service will be held at the Life Event Center followed by interment at Florida Memorial, 5950 S. Highway 1, Rockledge, FL on Tuesday, September 24th @ 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National MS Society or Vitas Hospice.
