1928 - 2025
Age 97, Satellite Beach, Florida
Our sweet Clotine Rattay passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025 while surrounded by family. She was born on November 30, 1928, in Tennille, Alabama, and lived a long, meaningful life centered around faith, family, and love.
Clotine drew strength and comfort from her Christian faith. She was the heart of her family—an extraordinary mother and grandmother whose kindness and generosity touched everyone who knew her. Her home radiated warmth and joy, filled with laughter and aromas of southern-style cooking. Whether preparing cherished family recipes or sharing stories from her past, she created a space where love flourished.
She had a gift for storytelling and often journaled during quiet moments. Clotine delighted in sending handwritten notes, recipes, and doodles to those she loved. She never turned down a cup of coffee and found joy in simple pleasures—especially morning walks at Gleason Park, where she enjoyed feeding turtles and birds.
Clotine is lovingly remembered by her children: Karen Camp (David), Charles Henry Rattay Jr., Colette Storer (Philip), Melanie Ramirez, and daughter-in-law Lori Rattay. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Casey, Jason (Michelle), Christopher, Carrie (Kevin), Holly (Eric), Amanda, Ryan (Shasta), Skyler and twelve great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Merle Lemieux and nephew Keith Lemieux.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Charlie" Henry Rattay Sr.,their son Stephen Rattay; infant grandson Bryan Rattay; her parents George and Lucy Berry; and seven siblings.
Her family will forever cherish memories of her singing voice echoing through the house, the stories that brought generations together, and the unwavering love she expressed with her favorite phrase: “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck, boop-boop-be-doop!”
She will be deeply missed and forever loved. A private memorial service will be held for the family.
