Cynthia Aucoin

Cindy was born in New Orleans in 1958 and moved to Eau Gallie in 1959. She received a nursing diploma in 1982 and was a registered nurse for 30 years.

Cindy was a member of Ascension Catholic Church and was involved in Ascension Catholic School during the years her children attended school there.

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Walter Aucoin, Jr.; children, Amanda and Joey Aucoin, parents; John & Gerry Hemel; sisters, Susan Cervola and Debbie Wisdom, all of Melbourne, FL; brother, John Hemel, Jr. of Flowery Branch, GA; mother-in-law, Audrey Dupree of Hammond, LA and sister-in-law Jan Ripberger of Ponchatoula, LA. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Stephens and infant son, Walter Aucoin III.

Cindy was passionate about her nursing career and always loved taking of people. Despite her illness she always put other people ahead of herself. She always enjoyed crafting and antiquing.

A funeral mass will be held at Ascension Catholic Church, 2950 N Harbor City Blvd, Melbourne, FL 32935 at 11am on Monday, June 16. Inurnment at Florida Memorial Gardens will be private.

In lieu of flowers or Mass cards, the family requests donations are made in Cindy's memory to Ascension Catholic School, 3000 North Harbor City Blvd. Melbourne, FL 32935.
