MERRITT ISLAND - Daniel ‘Sonny’ DiQuollo, 91, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2026 with his family by his side.
Born in New Jersey, Dan and his family moved to Merritt Island in 1973 where he started his own home improvement business. He continued working well into his 80’s, a testament to his work ethic and love of staying busy.
Sonny proudly served his country, first in the Navy reserves and then enlisting in the Army. He was a strong supporter of the military and veterans associations.
Dan is survived by his wife Mary Ellen (Midge), his children Patricia, Daniel Jr. (Barbara), Lisa, David and Jennifer, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 26,2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Divine Mercy Church, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Rockledge Memorial Gardens.
Dan requested if you are attending his service to please wear something bright and cheerful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the National Veteran Homeless Support organization.
