Debbie McGaughey

She was the devoted and loving mother of two daughters, Jessica O’Neill and Kathleen O’Neill. Born in Rockledge, Florida she was the daughter of Charles and Betty McGaughey. She also has two sisters, Cindy McGaughey and Katherine Versteegh; two nieces, Jennifer Connell and Victoria Versteegh; and two nephews, Shawn Connell and Eric Connell. In addition, she leaves behind her life partner of over 15 years, Charles Griffith.

Debbie was a dedicated Florida State Trooper for over 33 years and was the first female Trooper in Brevard County. Although that is what many people knew her for, she had many other talents and passions as well. Her love for horses was something that she enjoyed with her family and friends from a very young age. She was also an avid photographer and produced beautiful pieces of art along with wedding or prom portraits.

She grew up in Titusville and was a graduate of Titusville High School and the University of Central Florida.

There will be a Celebration of Her Life held at 2:00pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL.
